About the Role
Coinbase is seeking a Customer Support Agent I to join their team, providing support for users of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 platform. In this position, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving issues via online social channels, including Discord, X, Reddit, Warpcast, and Telegram. This role is perfect for someone passionate about cryptocurrency, blockchain, and providing an outstanding support experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Channel Moderation: Support users by moderating and engaging in online social channels such as Discord, Telegram, Reddit, and X to address concerns and resolve queries.
- Customer Support: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve user issues, ensuring a high-quality support experience.
- Problem Solving: Take ownership of customer issues, analyze metrics, track trends, and report bugs or recurring issues to internal teams.
- Education & Proactivity: Provide education to users and set clear expectations. Work proactively to identify and solve issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate: Work closely with internal teams to identify and address larger systemic issues, suggesting improvements where necessary.
What Coinbase Is Looking For
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in customer support or a related field (preferably in financial services, technology, or crypto).
- Familiarity with blockchain and cryptocurrency.
- Proficiency in online social channel moderation (e.g., Discord, Telegram).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage support across various channels including voice, messaging, and email.
- A flexible and adaptable mindset to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use data for decision-making and influencing stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with merchant accounts, compliance, payments, fraud, or trust and safety.
- Proficiency with Google Apps, JIRA, Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Experience partnering with internal stakeholders.
