About the Role

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Senior Account Executive to expand CoinGecko’s API sales. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing enterprise client relationships, and executing growth strategies. Compensation & Career Growth

We offer transparent salaries and a level structure:

  • L3 (Senior Account Executive): RM265,756 OTE (40/60 split with uncapped commission potential).
  • L2 (Mid-Level Account Executive): RM172,908 OTE (40/60 split with uncapped commission potential).

Key Responsibilities

API Sales & Business Development

  • Drive new Enterprise API sales, exceeding revenue targets.
  • Demonstrate product value propositions and close deals.
  • Identify upselling and expansion opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Conduct live API demos and assist customers with product integration.

Sales Forecasting & Reporting

  • Analyze sales data and track performance against sales quotas.
  • Generate insights on API adoption trends, customer behavior, and market conditions.
  • Provide detailed reports & analytics to management.

Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and qualify inbound and outbound leads.
  • Develop and execute client acquisition strategies to expand CoinGecko’s API market share.
  • Work closely with marketing and other internal teams to ensure consistent messaging.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Stay updated on cryptocurrency trends, competitor offerings, and emerging API technologies.
  • Engage with industry leaders, venture funds, and token projects to establish strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare tailored sales pitches and present to C-level executives.

Account Management & Customer Success

  • Build long-term client relationships, ensuring customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for API-related inquiries and support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and enhance service delivery.

Process Improvement & Team Leadership

  • Continuously improve sales processes and create sales playbooks.
  • Mentor junior sales team members and interns.
  • Represent CoinGecko at industry events and conferences.


What We Look For In You

  • 5-8 years of experience in Enterprise SaaS sales with a strong track record of exceeding targets.
  • Experience in crypto, fintech, or Web3 startups preferred.
  • Deep understanding of API products and their use cases in enterprise software.
  • Strong experience in negotiating deals with CTOs, CPOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot, ChartMogul) and data analytics.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for blockchain, cryptocurrency, DeFi, and Web3 innovations.
