About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Engineer for Japan. The role involves providing technical support during pre-sales activities, qualifying opportunities, managing Proof of Value (POV) evaluations, and delivering security assessment reports. You will work closely with sales teams, partners, and end users to drive product adoption and conversions. This position requires a strong technical background in cybersecurity, a hands-on approach, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales teams on pre-sales technical activities.
• Qualify opportunities and lead POV evaluations with end-users and partners.
• Create detailed security assessment reports post-POV evaluations.
• Provide training for distributors and partners to successfully deploy POVs.
• Assist in converting POV evaluations into sales opportunities.
• Liaise with CrowdStrike’s corporate team to address technical issues and requirements.
• Continuously monitor market developments and competitor activities.
• Support regional marketing initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Expertise in endpoint or network security (AV, EDR, incident response, SIEM, firewalls, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS/Android).
• Understanding of networking protocols (OSI model, IPv4/6, Routing, DNS, VLANs).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives.
• 5+ years of experience in a sales engineering role focused on security technologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in malware, threat intelligence, or sandbox analysis.
• Knowledge of programming languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with large cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Relevant certifications (CEH, CISSP, OSCP, SANS).
• Experience with IT process automation and orchestration.
