Udemy is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a talented team within the Product Platform portfolio. This team focuses on enabling Udemy's application teams to create secure, compliant, and operationally efficient products. You will play a pivotal role in leading the development of foundational product platform capabilities that solidify Udemy Business as the top AI-powered upskilling solution in the industry.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead a team of engineers while collaborating with cross-functional partners in product, design, data science, and more.
• Define and deliver a roadmap, identify areas for development, and work on key features that align with Udemy’s mission.
• Drive results using skills like analytical problem-solving, systems thinking, and decision-making to guide your team.
• Manage the performance of your team through regular 1-on-1s, annual reviews, and feedback loops to foster growth and career development.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategy and resource allocation to align with business goals.
• Prioritize execution, delegate tasks to your technical leads, and manage your team’s workload to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
• Mentor your team, build relationships within and outside of the organization, and provide support for professional growth.

What You’ll Have:

• 1-3 years of experience managing software engineers, with a focus on continuous feedback and career development.
• Proven experience in defining strategy, creating roadmaps, and prioritizing work in collaboration with product and design counterparts.
• A strong track record in delivering high-quality products on time.
• Collaborative experience working with product managers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of scalable systems (microservices, event-driven architecture) and secure API design (REST, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with web application development using technologies like HTTP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
