About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Node.js) to join our Index team. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance cryptocurrency market data solutions.

This is an on-site position in London.

Key Responsibilities

🛠 Develop New Index Calculation Engines – Build robust, high-performance index calculation engines based on detailed methodologies.

🚀 Optimize and Maintain Existing Solutions – Improve the scalability, efficiency, and reliability of our index systems.

📡 Handle Real-Time Streaming Data – Process and analyze high-volume, real-time market data streams.

💡 End-to-End Development – Work closely with product teams to design and deliver impactful features from concept to deployment.

Key Requirements

✅ Extensive experience in backend service/API development using Node.js.

✅ Proven expertise in:

• Architecting scalable, high-performance backend systems.
• Working with Unix-based systems for development and deployment.
• Using SQL databases for structured data handling.
• Implementing NoSQL databases for scalable, unstructured data solutions.
• ✅ Strong DevSecOps mindset – Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, secure coding, and automated deployment.
• ✅ Testing proficiency – Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for application reliability.
• ✅ Fluent in English – Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

⭐ Experience building high-throughput systems.

⭐ Hands-on experience with Redis and PostgreSQL.

⭐ Strong mathematical background – experience with numerical computations and algorithms is a plus.

⭐ A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.

⭐ Interest or experience in traditional financial markets or the crypto industry.
