Role: DevOps Engineer Intern

We are seeking a DevOps intern to support our real-time data streaming needs. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of Apache Kafka and a strong interest in building and maintaining operational pipelines. This role involves collaborating with senior engineers to ensure the robustness and efficiency of our Kafka infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Kafka clusters.
• Monitor Kafka performance metrics and troubleshoot issues.
• Support the development and maintenance of Kafka-based data pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate Kafka into applications.
• Maintain documentation for Kafka configurations and procedures.
• Participate in debugging and resolving Kafka-related problems.
• Stay updated on Kafka updates and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Apache Kafka and its components (brokers, topics, producers, consumers).
• Familiarity with distributed systems and real-time data processing concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting languages.
• Understanding of network protocols and data serialization formats (e.g., Avro, JSON).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
