💸 Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $196,000 – $220,000 USD
• Additional Compensation:

🧩 Role Purpose

The Senior TPM will lead and coordinate cross-functional cost optimization initiatives across:

• Infrastructure
• Data
• Machine learning
• Vendor relationships

This role is mission-critical to ensuring Discord remains efficient as it scales — helping the company track, manage, and reduce operational costs while supporting innovation and growth.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Data Cost Optimization:
• Identify and drive savings opportunities in cloud infrastructure and data queries.
• Cost-to-Serve Analysis:
• Partner with product/engineering to evaluate feature costs and provide actionable insights.
• Build Cost Attribution Platform:
• Create foundational systems for cost observability, metadata tracking, and alerts.
• Capacity Management:
• Lead programs that align cloud usage with actual needs, manage vendor negotiations.
• Product Consultation:
• Advise teams on cost impacts during feature planning and rollout.
• Vendor Oversight:
• Negotiate and manage relationships with providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
