Role Overview

Lead Discord’s Experiences team within the Growth organization, focused on solving key user pain points to drive activation, engagement, and retention. Work with a full stack engineering team and cross-functional partners to execute on high-impact growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the roadmap for growth in collaboration with Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing
• Lead and grow a high-performing team of full stack engineers
• Use experimentation and metrics to improve user activation and retention
• Ensure high-quality technical execution across projects
• Collaborate with other teams to enhance existing products at scale
• Contribute to strategic planning and improve engineering processes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager
• Strong collaboration skills across product and engineering disciplines
• Track record of growing and mentoring engineers
• Technical proficiency — comfortable engaging with code when needed
• Passion for delivering great user and developer experiences

Compensation & Notes

• US base salary: $248K–$279K
• Equity and full benefits included
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
• Relocation support may be provided
