About the role:

Join Discord’s Safety Analytics team focusing on data-driven transparency, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role involves responding to legal data requests with precision, building scalable compliance solutions, and working closely with engineering and data teams to maintain a safe platform environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to legal and litigation data requests accurately and quickly
• Support compliance and transparency reporting (e.g., EU Online Safety Act)
• Automate recurring legal/compliance data processes
• Analyze safety incidents and trends, like spam waves and abuse
• Develop precise business metrics with strong documentation
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on production codebases for compliance

What You Should Have:

• Strong SQL skills; able to write complex queries on large datasets
• 2+ years working with large data in production environments
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and dashboarding tools (Excel, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Experience creating detailed, accurate business metrics and documentation
• High attention to detail and quality under pressure
• Technical curiosity to explore codebases alongside engineers
• Preferred: experience with data governance, compliance, or legal analytics
