Role Overview:

We are seeking Account Executives to join as founding members of the sales team for our new Quests ads business line. This is a California-based role focused on mobile gaming partnerships. As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in developing and expanding our ad product offerings while working closely with game publishers, studios, and media agencies. This is an opportunity to shape a zero-to-one business initiative and drive revenue for Discord’s emerging mobile ads business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate Revenue: Develop new partnerships with game publishers, studios, and media agencies, securing repeatable revenue streams for Discord’s mobile ads business.
• Consultative Client Partnerships: Identify client marketing needs and create strategic proposals that align with Discord’s advertising solutions.
• Internal Strategic Insights: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to provide strategic recommendations for product development and scalable sales processes.
• Industry Thought Leadership: Demonstrate expertise in gaming, media, marketing, and advertising, positioning Discord as a key player in mobile game marketing.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in ad sales within the gaming industry, with a proven track record of building new business.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue goals, especially in mobile business development.
• Established relationships with top marketing decision-makers at game publishers and their agencies.
• Strong analytical skills to assess campaign performance and proactively troubleshoot challenges.
• Experience working cross-functionally to influence product development and internal processes.
• Willingness to travel for in-person client meetings as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Annual target compensation: $255K - $300K OTE (base salary + target variable compensation)
