Role Overview:

We are looking for an Account Executive to join the Quests ads business line as a founding member of our growing sales team. In this role, you will focus on the mobile gaming business, leveraging your expertise to build strategic relationships and drive new revenue streams for Discord's mobile ads business. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Generate Revenue: Drive new partnerships with game publishers, studios, and media agencies to establish repeatable revenue streams for Discord’s mobile ads business. Source new opportunities, navigate client needs, and close deals.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to provide strategic recommendations for the product roadmap. Build and optimize scalable processes to support the growth of the ads business.
• Client Relationships: Develop and deepen long-term relationships with senior decision-makers in the gaming industry. Use a consultative approach to understand their marketing needs and deliver tailored proposals that align with their goals.
• Industry Expertise: Share your insights and thought leadership on the gaming, media, marketing, and advertising industries. Represent Discord at industry forums, both internally and externally.

What You Should Have:

• Experience: At least 6 years of direct experience in ad sales within the gaming industry, especially in building new business from scratch with major gaming players.
• Proven Track Record: Success in delivering against account and revenue goals, specifically within the mobile advertising space.
• Relationship Building: Experience in cultivating strong relationships with top marketing decision-makers at game publishers and their agencies.
• Data-Driven Approach: Ability to analyze campaign performance data, troubleshoot issues, and proactively problem-solve with appropriate escalation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with internal teams to influence product development and business processes.
• Travel: Willingness to travel for regional in-person client meetings.

Compensation:

• Base Salary + Target Compensation: $272,000 - $306,000 OTE (base salary + target variable compensation) annually, plus equity and benefits.
• Compensation Factors: Individual pay will be determined by job-related skills, experience, education, and training.
