We are looking for an Account Manager to join our newly formed Gaming Advertising Solutions business line, Quests. This position is perfect for someone passionate about the gaming industry, digital advertising, and helping game companies market to the players most passionate about their games. As an Account Manager, you will leverage your advertising, media, and marketing experience to build strong relationships with clients and help them achieve their business goals using Discord’s platform.

This is a client services-focused role that requires you to maintain and grow relationships with key clients in the gaming industry while driving campaign success and performance. You will collaborate closely with our Sales team and cross-functional colleagues from product, marketing, operations, and data science to ensure optimal results. This role supports the West Coast region, and while there is no in-office requirement, the role requires being based on the West Coast.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Client Success & Campaign Management: Own the overall success and performance of advertising campaigns, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations.
• Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, handling day-to-day communications and building strong, lasting relationships that lead to upsell opportunities based on campaign KPIs.
• Data-Driven Reporting: Provide quantitative and qualitative reports, analyzing trends, campaign performance, and key metrics to optimize campaigns and drive innovation for key accounts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales team, as well as product, marketing, operations, and data science teams, to ensure client needs are met and goals are achieved.
• Strategic Execution: Develop strategies aligned with organizational goals, becoming an expert in Discord’s solutions and adapting recommendations to meet the varied needs of clients.
• Game Industry Insights: Bring a deep understanding of the gaming landscape, digital media formats, and buying tactics to help gaming advertisers measure and optimize media across app and web platforms, including blockchain-based technologies.

What You Should Have:

• 5+ years of experience as an Account Manager in the media, advertising, or ad tech space, with a strong focus on the gaming industry.
• Deep understanding of the gaming landscape, digital advertising formats, buying tactics, and web3 technologies such as blockchain, NFTs, DeFi, and cryptocurrency.
• Expertise in full-funnel campaigns (e.g., brand awareness, mid-funnel, and lower-funnel) and understanding how gaming advertisers measure media across app and web.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients, influencing buying decisions while maintaining a focus on performance metrics and KPIs.
• Ability to create and present client reports, including wrap reports and QBRs, to clearly communicate campaign performance and insights.
• Proficiency in data trend analysis and telling a compelling story with data to drive client success and campaign optimization.
• Strong technical understanding with the ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
• Willingness to travel for regional in-person client meetings as needed.

• Experience with self-service tools and platforms in the advertising space.
• In-depth knowledge and usage of Discord, particularly as it relates to gaming and advertising solutions.

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $217k to $240k + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
