• Position: Analytics Engineering Manager

• Salary Range: $207,485 - $244,100 USD + bonus + equity + benefits

🔹 What You’ll Do

• Build and lead an analytics engineering team bridging data engineering and product data science.
• Hire, mentor, and grow your team to build targeted data marts and analytics tools supporting business and product goals.
• Develop deep expertise in product data to solve real business problems through scalable models, pipelines, and dashboards.
• Explore and incorporate AI and large language models (LLMs) to innovate analytics capabilities and prepare data infrastructures for AI-driven insights.
• Deliver actionable insights via dashboards, self-service analytics, and ad-hoc reports for product teams.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and central data engineering to maintain data quality, reliability, and agility.

🔹 What Coinbase Looks For

• Experienced leader with a track record of building and managing data or analytics engineering teams.
• Hands-on technical expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and tools like Airflow, DBT, Snowflake, Hex.
• Strong engineering practices including version control, CI/CD, scalable architecture, and advanced SQL.
• Comfortable solving complex, ambiguous problems creatively and independently.
• Passion for leveraging AI and LLMs in analytics, including prompt engineering and AI-driven data products.
• Good understanding of statistics and probability to support data interpretation and decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and driving buy-in.
• Product and business-minded, able to align analytics efforts with product goals and priorities.
