📌 Role Overview

As an Associate in the Financial Crimes Controls Governance & Assessments team, you’ll support Coinbase’s core Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) programs. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing global financial crimes governance, conducting risk assessments, developing metrics and KPIs, and strengthening internal policies.

This position is perfect for professionals with strong compliance, data analysis, and regulatory governance experience—especially those who excel in cross-functional collaboration.

🧾 Key Responsibilities

• Support AML/CFT and Sanctions Risk Assessments: Perform data analysis, maintain methodologies, and assist with periodic report generation.
• Governance Support: Help manage governance initiatives, support meeting materials prep, maintain control inventories, and track issues and remediation efforts.
• Policy & Procedure Governance: Assist in reviewing, updating, and aligning policies/procedures with internal controls and external regulatory expectations.
• Training Development: Contribute to the development and execution of financial crimes training across multiple business units.
• KPI/KRI & Reporting: Assist in developing and tuning key compliance metrics and reports for internal stakeholders and regulators.

✅ What You’ll Need

• 3+ years of experience in Financial Crimes Compliance (banking, fintech, or consulting).
• Strong understanding of AML, CFT, sanctions regulations, and compliance risks.
• Experience with risk assessments, control inventories, or governance programs.
• Ability to develop training materials and communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly.
• Analytical mindset with data interpretation and metrics reporting skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

• Professional certifications such as CAMS, CCAS, or other AML/Compliance-related designations.
