🎯 About the Role

As a Backend Operations Support Engineer (Card), you’ll ensure the reliability and efficiency of Crypto.com’s Card services. You will play a pivotal role in supporting production systems, resolving customer issues, improving operations, and enhancing system reliability. This role requires flexible scheduling, including day/night shifts across Asia and EST time zones.

💼 Key Responsibilities

🛠️ 1. Operations Development & Testing

• Analyze requirements, contribute to system design, and support development within a lean technical team.
• Build and maintain integration tests to ensure system robustness.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams to enhance operational efficiency.

🧑‍💻 2. Customer Support & Troubleshooting

• Act as the primary technical contact for Crypto.com Card production issues.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported issues and drive prompt resolutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze, escalate, and resolve service issues.
• Convert recurring problems into actionable product improvements.

⚙️ 3. System Reliability & Maintenance

• Partner with the SRE team to establish monitoring and alerting systems.
• Recommend and implement system optimizations for performance and stability.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and DevOps teams during incidents.

🕒 4. Shift Work

• Must be open to working day and night shifts across Asia and EST time zones.

✅ Requirements

• Solid understanding of payment card systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable in Linux environments with tools and scripting knowledge.
• Familiar with monitoring/logging tools like Datadog, Sumologic, OpenTelemetry.
• [Nice to Have] GitOps knowledge with ArgoCD.
• [Nice to Have] Proficiency in Shell, Ruby, Golang, and SQL.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (Cantonese is a plus).
• Positive, proactive, and detail-oriented team player.
