About the Role

Crypto.com is looking for a Backend Operations Support Engineer to join the Card project team, providing technical support, system optimization, and operational improvements for its card services. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, ensuring system reliability, and supporting the DevOps process, working across Asia and EST time zones. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and maintain the infrastructure and products, driving both customer satisfaction and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

🛠️ Operations Development & Testing

• Analyze requirements, design systems, and contribute to development tasks.
• Write and refine integration tests to ensure robust software functionality.
• Collaborate with operation teams to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.

👩‍💻 Customer Support & Problem Resolution

• Be the primary technical contact for production issues related to the Crypto.com Card.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of issues, implementing effective solutions.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to address user-reported issues and optimize the product based on customer feedback.
• Regularly analyze problems and convert them into actionable business requirements.

🔧 System Reliability & Maintenance

• Work with the SRE team to develop monitoring systems to detect potential issues before they escalate.
• Ensure system performance through regular optimizations and upgrades.
• In the event of failures, coordinate with relevant teams to minimize downtime and maintain system stability.

🕒 Shift Work

• Flexibility to work shifts covering both Asia and EST time zones, including day/night shifts, based on operational needs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with the payment card domain and related technologies.
• DevOps experience, especially with tools like AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background working in a Linux environment and experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Sumologic.
• Knowledge of GitOps (e.g., ArgoCD) and experience with shell scripting, Ruby, Golang, and SQL is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (English and Mandarin; Cantonese is an advantage).
• Proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills

• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and a proactive approach to process automation.
• Quick learner, eager to acquire new technologies.
