Title: Blockchain Fraud Investigations Specialist

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Blockchain Forensics: Investigate suspicious or illicit blockchain transactions, internal fraud, and financial misconduct.
• Fraud Detection: Uncover schemes such as insider trading, unauthorized access, or misappropriation involving crypto assets.
• Data Analysis: Use tools like Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, or CipherTrace to trace wallets, smart contracts, and DeFi activity.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with Compliance, IT Security, Legal, and Audit teams to investigate and mitigate risks.
• Whistleblower Management: Handle internal crypto-related whistleblower reports with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Reporting: Produce investigation reports for executives, risk teams, and regulators, including recommendations for mitigation.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on blockchain crime trends, regulatory changes, and forensic tools.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Forensic Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Law, or related.
• Experience:
• 5+ years in forensic investigations, fraud analysis, or internal audit.
• 2+ years specifically in blockchain investigations.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Hands-on with blockchain analytics platforms (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs).
• Knowledge of DeFi, smart contracts, crypto exchanges, and wallet tracing.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with AML, KYC, cybercrime, and digital asset regulations.
• Preferred Certifications:
• CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner)
• CBSP (Certified Blockchain Security Professional)
• CCI (Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator)
• Soft Skills: Critical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, high ethical standards, and excellent written reporting.
