🔹 Role Overview

Position: Associate or Senior Associate, Business Operations & Strategy

Location: Remote (with in-person offsite participation expected)

Pay Range: $130,900 – $154,000 USD + equity + bonus + benefits

Team: BizOps & Strategy – a cross-functional team supporting Coinbase leadership

Level: Mid-level (2+ years’ experience)

🔹 Role Summary

This is a high-impact, analytical, and strategic role that partners closely with Coinbase's leadership team to:

• Tackle complex business challenges
• Shape and influence company-wide strategy
• Build data-backed business cases and scalable operational models

You’ll work across product, engineering, finance, and ops — ideal for someone who thrives in high-stakes environments and wants direct exposure to executive-level decisions.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Structure and solve complex strategic problems for the leadership team.
• Use market, competitor, and internal data to identify opportunities and inefficiencies.
• Build detailed business cases, financial models, and hypothesis-driven analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design experiments and drive operational changes.
• Recruit and develop future team members as the function scales.

🔹 Core Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a strategic or analytical role (e.g. management consulting, VC, PE, hedge fund, investment banking, or operations/strategy at a fast-growing tech company).
• Excellent communication skills – both written (e.g. strategy decks, briefings) and verbal (executive presentations).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• A bias for action – you’re expected to take ownership and push through ambiguity.

🔹 Preferred Qualifications

These aren’t mandatory but will set you apart:

• Crypto industry experience – working at a crypto exchange, protocol, or Web3 company.
• MBA or advanced degree (e.g. in finance, econ, data science, or related field).
• Technical/data fluency:
• SQL (you may be expected to self-serve analytics)
• Dune Analytics, Etherscan, or similar blockchain analytics tools
