Role Overview

Join Canva’s Corporate Accounting team to manage and scale accounting operations in a fast-growing, dynamic environment. You will lead core accounting processes ensuring timely, accurate reporting while driving efficiency and automation. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Own key accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting aligned with GAAP and global standards.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure SOX compliance.
• Drive automation and adopt AI and new technologies to improve accounting workflows.
• Lead process improvements to scale financial operations.
• Partner cross-functionally to simplify financial processes and support better business decision-making.
• Support audits and compliance activities, liaising with external auditors.

Qualifications

• CPA certified with experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
• Experience in high-growth or public company environments preferred.
• Passionate about process optimization, automation, and technology integration.
• Strong communicator able to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance teams.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
