Position: Corporate Counsel

About the Role

You'll be at the legal core of GoDaddy's commercial operations, helping structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on deals, contracts, and partnerships that directly impact GoDaddy’s global business. This role is well-suited for a commercial transactions lawyer who loves working across cross-functional teams and managing complex deals from end to end.

Responsibilities:

• Take the legal lead on global commercial transactions
• Partner closely with GoDaddy’s internal teams and external counsel
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (sales, procurement, licensing, tech/SaaS, real estate, privacy, etc.)
• Support strategic partnerships and product development initiatives
• Proactively advise on legal, regulatory, and risk matters
• Collaborate across departments: privacy, finance, compliance, PR, marketing, product
• Build and continuously improve contract templates and processes
• Counsel teams on deal structures, risk mitigation, and GoDaddy’s policies

Requirements:

✅ JD (Juris Doctorate)

✅ 7+ years experience as a Commercial Transactions Lawyer

✅ Strong deal experience as the primary negotiator

✅ Expertise in drafting and negotiating a variety of contract types

✅ Strong understanding of global commercial law, internet/tech contracts, privacy, and SaaS

✅ Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

✅ Experience in process improvement for legal documents

✅ Ability to align legal guidance with business strategy
