Role Overview

As a key member of IMC’s Data Quality team, you'll ensure the data fueling trading algorithms is accurate, reliable, and high-quality. You'll analyze data sources, develop anomaly detection, and work with cross-functional teams to enhance data integrity at every stage. This role empowers researchers and traders with the clean data they need to build winning strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing data sources for quality and reliability
• Monitor for anomalies, missing values, and inconsistencies in data streams
• Develop algorithms and frameworks to improve and validate data quality
• Build and maintain datasets used in trading models
• Collaborate closely with researchers, traders, and software engineers to ensure data integrity
• Communicate insights and issues to stakeholders clearly and effectively

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in data quality analysis or data engineering, working with large datasets
• Education: Master’s in Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or related field
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Polars)
• Strong knowledge of time-series analysis and handling high-frequency data
• Industry Interest: Financial markets or trading industry experience is a plus
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication
