Job Description:

Coinbase is looking for a passionate and driven Data Scientist II to join our Data Science team. As a key player in our product and decision-making process, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Design, to analyze data, build insights, and influence product improvements. Your work will directly impact Coinbase’s bottom line by helping shape data-driven decisions for strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analyses on products to answer open-ended questions and provide strategic recommendations.
• Design and execute experiments/analyses to measure product impact and drive product improvements.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance key metrics and reports to improve data infrastructure.
• Apply advanced statistical methods, A/B testing, causal inference, and machine learning to support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with other teams to inform the product roadmap through deep analysis and insights.

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in a quantitative field (such as Math, Stats, Physics, or Computer Science) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience driving impact for digital products with iterative development cycles.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and hands-on experience with A/B testing, causal inference, machine learning, etc.
• Proficient in data analysis using SQL.
• Skilled in programming and modeling with Python.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: £100,620 – £111,800 GBP annually
• Includes target bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, and vision).
