• Title: Engineering Manager (Consumer)

• Employment: Full-time
• Salary Range: $218,025 - $256,500 USD + bonus + equity + benefits

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage full-stack engineering teams working on Coinbase’s Consumer Product Group (Coinbase app, advanced trade, dapps, staking).
• Coach and grow engineering talent, fostering career development.
• Translate product vision into quarterly roadmaps; break down complex projects and lead iterative development.
• Provide technical leadership in architecture decisions and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and senior leadership.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, and building a strong engineering culture.
• Own engineering processes that ensure quality and SLA adherence.
• Be hands-on as needed: code reviews, incident management, troubleshooting.

🔹 Requirements

• 7+ years in software engineering.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Strong grasp of software engineering best practices and quality.
• Ability to deliver results despite ambiguity.
• Experience with multi-tenant, distributed systems at scale.
• Comfortable balancing long-term strategy and short-term execution.
• Hands-on technical skills for code and incident handling.
• Passionate about Coinbase’s mission to build an open financial system.

• Experience with crypto, blockchain, onchain interactions (Ethereum, ENS, dApps).
