Position Overview

We are seeking a technical, hands-on, and mission-driven Engineering Manager to lead our Shop team within the Consumer Revenue organization. The Shop team is responsible for creating platforms and products that enhance users' identities on Discord with premium and unique content. This role involves overseeing a major business line and contributing to company revenue goals. You will work closely with Product teams to shape long-term strategies and lead a full-stack engineering team working across platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Business Development, and Marketing to define your team’s vision and roadmap.
• Build and lead an engaged, high-performing full-stack engineering team through hiring, coaching, and instilling best practices.
• Work on designing scalable technical solutions and help define the technical strategy for the Shop platform.
• Foster a culture focused on delivering impactful results and providing delightful user experiences.
• Leverage your technical expertise to guide your team in delivering exceptional results at a high technical standard.
• Make informed decisions around resource allocation and clearly communicate the rationale to your team and stakeholders.
• Partner with your Director on strategic planning and contribute to improving the broader Engineering organization.

What You Should Have

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Strong collaboration skills with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to create innovative solutions for business problems.
• A passion for delivering delightful end-user experiences and working with stakeholders.
• Motivation to help your team succeed, with experience in coaching and developing engineers.
• A technical background with the ability to dive into code when necessary and support the team’s engineering efforts.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $223,000 - $245,500, plus equity and benefits. The salary range is determined by role, level, and individual experience. Additional factors such as job-related skills, education, and relevant experience also influence compensation. Please note that the listed salary does not include equity or benefits.
