Discord is looking for a hands-on, highly technical, and empathetic Engineering Manager to lead the Nitro Growth team within the Consumer Revenue organization. As one of the major business lines at Discord, this team focuses on increasing Nitro subscriptions, optimizing user engagement, and growing acquisition efforts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing, Partnerships, UX Research) to define and drive the team’s vision and roadmap.
• Lead and grow a team of full-stack engineers by coaching, mentoring, and implementing best practices.
• Make technical decisions on scalable solutions and ensure the team delivers high-quality products.
• Create a culture of impactful results while focusing on delivering an enjoyable user experience.
• Manage resourcing decisions and communicate these choices clearly with team members and partners.
• Partner with leadership to strategize and improve the engineering organization, ensuring alignment with company goals.

What You Should Have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Collaborative experience with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers.
• A focus on delighting end users and solving business problems.
• Code familiarity, even if you aren't coding daily—you're still technically involved.
• Proven success in growing engineering talent.
