Role: Engineering Manager – Growth

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (must reside in or relocate to the area)

Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $248,000 – $279,000 (base) + equity + benefits

Mission: Lead a full-stack engineering team to resolve key pain points that drive user activation, retention, and community growth.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Leadership
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing to define and execute the growth roadmap.
• Team Management
• Hire, mentor, and coach a team of full-stack engineers while instilling best practices and maintaining high technical standards.
• Data-Driven Growth Execution
• Use experimentation, A/B testing, and metrics to improve user activation and retention over time.
• Technical Oversight
• Ensure strong engineering execution and scalable solutions. Remain technically involved and hands-on as needed.
• Strategic Collaboration
• Work closely with company leadership to influence strategic planning and contribute to organizational improvements in Engineering.

🧠 Qualifications Required

• 5+ years experience as a software engineer (full stack preferred)
• 2+ years in an engineering management role
• Strong collaboration with product managers, designers, and data scientists
• Committed to delivering exceptional user experience and stakeholder satisfaction
• Passion for mentoring and growing engineering talent
• Willingness to remain close to the code and lead by example

📍 Location Requirement

Must be based in or open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area, which includes:

• Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties

• Base Salary: $248,000 – $279,000 USD
• Equity: Included

• Remote Flexibility: Not fully remote — onsite or Bay Area presence required
