🤖 Machine Learning @ Coinbase India

This team is focused on LLM-based AI solutions to support both:

• 100M+ customers via products like AI-powered customer support and predictive tools
• 3500+ employees via AI assistants and internal productivity tools

The team is building a multi-cloud LLM platform, ensuring compliance, security, and personalization across all AI interactions.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage a team of ML and backend engineers
• Remain hands-on with coding and architecture decisions
• Plan and implement multi-year ML strategy
• Drive platformization of LLM solutions across Coinbase
• Ensure engineering quality and meet SLAs
• Collaborate across functions (product, engineering, leadership)
• Hire and coach high-caliber engineers
• Navigate challenges including:
• Rapidly evolving crypto landscape
• Tight deadlines
• Bear/bull market volatility
• Dynamic product goals

✅ Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering
• 2+ years in engineering management
• Deep experience with ML systems and backend engineering
• Track record of building and scaling production ML applications
• Proven leadership in high-performing engineering teams
• Strong grasp of engineering quality, code reviews, architecture

• Degree in CS, ML, Data Science, Statistics
• Hands-on experience with:
• Python
• Apache Airflow, Spark, Flink
• Kafka/Kinesis, Snowflake, Hive, Hadoop
• Understanding of:
• Model interpretability & Responsible AI
• Data visualization & analytics
