• Salary Range: $218,025 – $256,500 USD/year

🏗️ Team Focus

• Manages infrastructure supporting staking validators for internal and external customers.
• Focus on Kubernetes-based validator workloads.
• Close collaboration with Staking Platform and Infra Compute teams.
• Migrating from Bison Trails legacy infrastructure to Coinbase’s standardized platform.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead engineering teams supporting staking infrastructure.
• Translate strategy into quarterly roadmaps; drive execution.
• Actively participate in architecture, design reviews, and operational decisions.
• Oversee the delivery and uptime of multi-tenant, distributed systems at scale.
• Act as a coach and mentor to direct reports.
• Recruit top engineering talent in collaboration with the Talent team.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, when necessary.

✅ Must-Have Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering.
• 2+ years in engineering management.
• Experience with:
• Multi-tenant systems
• Distributed architecture
• High-scale infrastructure
• Comfortable being hands-on when needed (code, design, triage).
• Strong emphasis on execution and ambiguity management.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.

💡 Nice-to-Haves

• Blockchain infrastructure or staking experience.
• Familiarity with validator operations on networks like Ethereum or Solana.
• Proficiency with crypto-native tools: Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps, etc.
• History of leading technical change in large orgs.
