About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Crime Investigator (SAR Investigator) to join our global compliance team. You will play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance by investigating suspicious activity, maintaining detailed records, and supporting anti-money laundering (AML) processes. Key Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned cases within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and advise internal stakeholders on appropriate actions.
• Manage escalation logs, ensuring timely review and resolution of all escalated cases.
• Support and maintain client offboarding logs and processes where necessary.
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases to team leads and Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs).
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve the quality, accuracy, and consistency of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
• Utilize industry-standard compliance tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, Kodex, and World-Check.
• Stay informed on AML/CFT regulations, especially regarding virtual currencies, and participate in relevant training.
• Perform other compliance-related administrative and support tasks as required by the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, Compliance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in investigations, compliance, AML, or regulatory environments—preferably within a financial institution or fintech.
• Solid understanding of SAR filing processes and regulatory obligations.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and handling multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent investigative, analytical, and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
