🕵️‍♀️ Role Overview: Financial Crime Investigator (SAR Investigator)

Location: Remote (Zagreb-based team)

Job Type: Full-time

Field: Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Compliance, Blockchain Forensics

Focus: Investigate suspicious transactions and help ensure regulatory compliance in a Web3/crypto setting

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct suspicious activity reviews (SARs) and maintain logs
• Recommend next steps based on investigations (e.g., escalation, offboarding)
• Collaborate with AML teams, MLROs, and internal stakeholders
• Use tools like Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, World-Check, etc.
• Help ensure SARs are consistent, detailed, and defensible
• Stay current on crypto regulations, policies, and financial crime trends
• Participate in AML/CFT training and internal compliance programs

✅ Must-Have Qualifications

• 3–5 years of investigative experience, ideally in:
• AML compliance
• SAR filing
• Financial auditing
• Regulatory environments (especially in fintech or banks)
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving work
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, or a related field
• Familiarity with blockchain/crypto compliance tools
