Role Overview

Join Canva's Developer Experience group to improve frontend testing infrastructure and empower thousands of engineers with high-quality, scalable, and intuitive tools. You'll work on core systems that enable fast, reliable development and testing practices across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance frontend testing systems (JavaScript, TypeScript), improving speed, reliability, and developer confidence.
• Design and build components for Canva’s internal Quality Platform.
• Collaborate with engineers to co-develop platform tools that increase development velocity.
• Improve CI/CD feedback loops and reduce test flakiness through smarter diagnostics and tooling.
• Maintain the health, scalability, and performance of testing infrastructure.

You’re a Strong Fit If You Have:

• Proven software engineering experience, with strong skills in JavaScript and system design.
• A passion for developer tools, CI/CD, and testing infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E).
• A user-first mindset with empathy for other engineers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic technical decision-making.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Proactive and adaptable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

About the Team

The Quality Platform Team is part of Canva’s Developer Experience group within the Infrastructure organization. The team owns Canva's automated testing strategy and tooling, empowering engineers to deliver high-quality products quickly and confidently.
