About the Job

Binance, the world’s leading blockchain company and largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, is looking for a Global Deputy Lead - Compliance Systems and Controls. This role will help lead the development and enhancement of compliance systems, controls, and technology within the company's Compliance Division.

Responsibilities

• Compliance System Development: Lead the development and improvement of compliance systems in key areas like name screening, crypto transaction screening, KYC, AML, market surveillance, and more.
• Data Science & Technology: Implement cutting-edge data science techniques (including Machine Learning and LLMs) to streamline compliance processes and improve system efficiency.
• Model Optimization: Optimize compliance models and thresholds, including monitoring, tuning, and developing new typologies to meet regulatory needs.
• Compliance Documentation: Ensure all change control processes and documentation adhere to regulatory standards.
• Model Validation & Reporting: Oversee model validation programs and develop MIS reports to track performance and inform leadership.
• Customer Risk & Screening: Manage and optimize Customer Risk Scoring Models and customer screening rules.
• Travel Rule Integration: Lead efforts to integrate Travel Rule data into screening and monitoring systems.
• Enhancing Operational Efficiencies: Provide recommendations for improving case management and other platforms to boost operational effectiveness.
• Leadership & Coaching: Mentor and guide team leads, enhancing their project management and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Experience:
• 10+ years in Compliance, with 5+ years in Compliance Systems development and data analytics.
• 6+ years of experience managing and leading teams.
• Compliance Expertise: Solid knowledge of compliance control and experience in building systems for KYC, AML, and other regulatory areas.
• Leadership Skills: Strong hands-on management style with the ability to guide teams through strategy, design, and implementation.
• Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degrees in computer science, data science, or related fields are a plus).
• Certifications:
• Compliance certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) are advantageous.
• PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications are preferred.
• Crypto Knowledge: Familiarity with cryptocurrencies and digital currencies is a plus.
• Consulting Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
