The team focuses on blockchain analysis, criminal investigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. As a Global Intelligence Analyst, you will be tasked with investigating criminal activities, collaborating with law enforcement, and ensuring Coinbase upholds the highest standards of compliance.

🧑‍💻 Responsibilities

• Law Enforcement Inquiries: Act as the primary contact for law enforcement agencies and evaluate legal information requests (e.g., subpoenas) while assessing risks and sensitivities.
• Blockchain Analysis: Utilize investigative tools (such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic) to analyze blockchain transactions and identify criminal activity.
• Criminal Investigations: Pursue investigations into illicit activities like fraud, money laundering, and ransomware, while escalating urgent matters to senior investigators.
• Policy Awareness: Stay updated on laws and regulations in the crypto industry to ensure compliance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address inquiries and solve complex problems.

🧠 Required Skills and Experience

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in law enforcement or investigations, ideally within a crypto/fintech environment.
• Blockchain Knowledge: Familiarity with blockchain analysis tools like Chainalysis or TRM, as well as knowledge of on-chain financial crime typologies.
• Strong Judgment: Ability to evaluate legal requests and make informed decisions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
• Time Management: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast-changing technologies.

💰 Salary Range

• Target Annual Salary: $117,385 USD - $138,100 USD, plus target bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
