🎯 Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) professional to join Binance as Global Sanctions Advisory & Governance Lead. This is a senior-level position focused on sanctions and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) risk management. You’ll lead governance efforts, implement best-in-class controls, and provide strategic advisory across our global operations.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in sanctions & CTF risk frameworks, compliance monitoring, and governance.
- Design and implement second-line-of-defense testing and control frameworks specific to sanctions and financial crime.
- Advise internal stakeholders across Binance on compliance risks and mitigation strategies, while balancing business priorities.
- Evaluate and improve existing compliance processes, controls, and internal risk documentation.
- Monitor global regulatory developments and assess their impact on Binance operations.
- Lead and contribute to industry-wide knowledge sharing initiatives, deepening Binance’s FCC capabilities.
- Drive and manage cross-border compliance projects and audits with external regulators and internal teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders such as regulators, auditors, and industry groups.
- Deliver clear and actionable compliance insights and reporting to executive leadership.
✅ Requirements
- 12+ years of proven experience in compliance, sanctions, or financial crime risk management, preferably at the global level.
- Minimum of 10 years in monitoring, testing, and governance roles in FCC.
- University degree in Law, Finance, Compliance, or related field.
- ACAMS or ACFCS certification preferred.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of banking or fintech processes, controls, and systems.
- Strong analytical, writing, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven track record in project management and leadership roles.
- Agile and pragmatic approach to complex compliance issues.
- Ability to inspire and influence teams and build compliance culture globally.
- Comfortable working across functional and geographic boundaries in a remote, fast-paced environment.
