Role Overview
A senior-level role within the Sanctions Compliance team, focusing on managing Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) risks related to sanctions and counter-terrorist financing (CTF). This role requires a deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, strong problem-solving skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive compliance frameworks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compliance monitoring and testing frameworks focused on Sanctions & CTF risks in a second line of defense environment.
- Evaluate and advise on processes for identifying and managing compliance risks linked to Binance’s global activities.
- Provide actionable compliance advice across Binance, balancing risk management with business interests.
- Monitor regulatory and internal developments impacting sanctions compliance worldwide.
- Assess FCC risk profiles for all Binance business units, influencing policies, procedures, and systems.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives to deepen sanctions and CTF expertise internally and across the industry.
- Lead projects ensuring quality deliverables within deadlines and budgets.
- Effectively manage relationships with regulators, auditors, and industry bodies.
- Raise challenges confidently while maintaining professional relationships.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in international compliance or financial crime compliance.
- At least 10 years in a compliance/FCC monitoring and testing role.
- Strong knowledge of banking business processes and compliance frameworks.
- University degree required; certifications such as ACAMS or ACFCS preferred.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and judgment skills.
- Strategic experience in FCC oversight and initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
- Pragmatic, energetic, with a critical and innovative mindset.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication to simplify complex compliance concepts.
