Job Overview:

As the Global VP of Marketing / CMO, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving the execution of marketing initiatives that will propel the CoinMarketCap ecosystem. Your leadership will ensure the growth and impact of our brand, product suite, and community. This is a high-visibility role that will require a combination of strategic vision, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of data-driven marketing in a fast-paced, global tech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Marketing Strategy & Leadership:

• Define Marketing Objectives: Partner with senior leaders to set clear, strategic objectives for the marketing function that align with organizational goals.
• Execute Marketing Strategies: Lead the development and execution of marketing tactics across social media, web, content, video, and community management to meet quarterly and annual goals.
• Empower Marketing Teams: Empower team leads across different business units to drive results and deliver measurable outcomes for our product suite.
• Community Growth: Collaborate with Local and Community Management teams to expand the market reach of CoinMarketCap’s products and the broader ecosystem.

2. Performance Management:

• Drive Performance & Data Orientation: Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and performance excellence across all marketing channels.
• Project Management: Oversee and ensure consistency in project management for marketing efforts across all platforms, ensuring high-quality output aligned with business objectives.

3. Brand & PR Support:

• Brand Narrative Development: Work closely with the Brand and PR teams to craft and communicate a coherent, compelling narrative about CoinMarketCap’s role in the decentralized web.
• Positioning CoinMarketCap: Shape and amplify the company’s voice, value proposition, and unique market positioning globally.

Requirements:

Experience & Skills:

Experience:

10+ years of experience in technology, financial services, or fintech companies, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role focused on marketing.

• Growth Metrics:
• Proven track record of driving key business metrics, including web traffic, leads, client conversions, and revenue generation.
• Product Portfolio Management:
• Expertise in managing complex product portfolios, multiple brands, and diverse customer segments with varying conversion funnels.
• Budget Management:
• Experience managing a marketing budget and making strategic decisions on trade-offs between different marketing programs based on quantitative analysis and product outcomes.
• Project Management:
• Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and organizational capacity.
• Community Building:
• Demonstrated experience in growing engaged user or developer communities to drive market adoption, particularly in the technology or blockchain sectors.
• Leadership in Remote Teams:
• Ability to effectively lead a complex, remote-first team with diverse working styles and backgrounds.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, balancing different perspectives and expectations to achieve business goals.
