About the Role:

PhonePe is seeking an Integration Engineer to manage and support merchant integrations, ensure seamless API connections, resolve production issues, and work closely with both internal teams and external partners. The role demands technical expertise, strong communication, and high ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to understand product flows
• Interface with merchants to understand their systems and guide integration
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and internal tools
• Own production issue resolution and ensure long-term fixes
• Automate recurring integration-related tasks
• Write clean, well-tested code adhering to best practices

Requirements:

• 1+ year experience in Java and REST API development
• Strong grasp of OOP and basic MySQL knowledge
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
• Good communication skills and a self-driven, ownership mindset
• Commitment to timelines and continuous improvement
