About the Job:

Coinbase is seeking an Internal Audit IT Senior to join their Internal Audit team, focusing primarily on EMEA IT and security-related audits. This role will provide independent testing and audit coverage of technology, products, and information security globally at Coinbase. The ideal candidate will have experience in information security, IT governance, risk management, or application security. This position will be based remotely in Ireland and report directly to the Internal Audit IT Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit Practices & Execution:
2. Develop next-generation audit practices to maintain a best-in-class global internal audit function.
3. Execute IT and security-related audits from planning to execution for the EMEA IT audit portfolio.
4. Provide reports on audit findings, focusing on technology, security, and governance.
5. Audit Reporting & Solutions:
6. Develop audit reports for executive audiences, documenting findings and providing solutions.
7. Track and validate management’s response to internal audit findings and remediation activities.
8. Stakeholder Management:
9. Manage relationships with business unit management across all levels.
10. Communicate audit findings and the importance of an effective control environment to non-finance stakeholders.
11. Collaborate with business partners to address audit findings, mitigating risk while improving technology and security operations.
12. Regulatory & Industry Knowledge:
13. Stay current on regulatory requirements impacting IT, security, and financial services relevant to Coinbase.
14. Assist with responses to regulatory inquiries related to internal audit.
15. Team Support & Leadership:
16. Manage and support internal audit staff, and perform ad-hoc investigations as required.
17. Promote innovative methods for improving internal controls and technology infrastructure.
18. Internal Audit Oversight:
19. Lead periodic control certifications and validate the effectiveness of documented controls.
20. Support the preparation of materials for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, management information systems, or related fields (IT, security, or accounting).
• Experience:
• 4+ years in internal audit with a focus on information technology, information security, and IT audit.
• Experience in cloud-based technology, application development lifecycle, and enterprise technology stack operations.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Basic scripting experience (e.g., Python, Ruby).
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently and in team environments.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Certifications:
• Professional Internal Audit, IT, or Security qualifications (e.g., CISA, CFE).
• Additional Skills:
• Knowledge of international regulatory requirements for IT and security.
• Familiarity with crypto, payments, and financial services industries, and experience in auditing related systems and controls.
• Experience in a rapidly growing startup environment and with outsourced or co-sourced internal audit functions.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: €76,800 EUR (target annual salary)
