About the Job:

Coinbase is seeking an Internal Audit Senior, IT to join their global internal audit team, focusing on IT and security-related audits. This individual will execute audits related to information and cybersecurity, infrastructure, platforms, applications, and IT governance at Coinbase. The role requires strong audit experience, particularly in areas like information security, IT governance, risk management, or application security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Execution: Lead and manage IT and security audits, from planning through reporting, for various platforms, applications, and IT systems.
• Audit Reporting: Develop audit reports for executive-level audiences, documenting findings and providing evidence-based solutions.
• Audit Findings: Track, evaluate, and ensure timely corrective actions for audit findings.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships across the organization, working closely with first and second lines of defense.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up to date on regulatory requirements impacting the organization and provide insights to help the company comply.
• Control Evaluation: Conduct control certifications and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Advisory Role: Provide advisory services to business partners, identifying ways to mitigate risks and improve security and operational performance.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to innovative processes to enhance audit practices, technology, and internal infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
• Experience: 4+ years of internal audit experience with a focus on IT, security audits, risk management, or application security.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of cloud technology, software development lifecycles, cloud configurations, and security services.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex issues to diverse audiences.
• Data Analysis: Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and proficiency in Google Suite or MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Scripting Skills: Basic scripting experience (e.g., Python, Ruby).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Certifications: Professional Internal Audit, IT, or Security qualifications (e.g., CISA, CFE).
• Industry Experience: Understanding of crypto, payments, or financial services industry and auditing experience in these sectors.
• Start-Up Experience: Experience working in a rapidly growing start-up with associated complexities.
• Global Collaboration: Ability to work across different functions and time zones.

Compensation:

• Pay Range: $108,630—$127,800 USD
• Additional Benefits: Target bonus, equity, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
