Role Overview:

As an Investigator at Chainalysis, you will become a trusted advisor in conducting complex cryptocurrency investigations. Your focus will be on offering investigative support and expertise, helping customers solve major cases in the cryptocurrency space. You will be involved in training and guiding investigators and analysts, preparing detailed reports, and supporting customers in achieving meaningful results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor to investigators, analysts, and leadership within your assigned account. Provide training and support to team members.
• Investigative Support: Offer technical advice and lead investigations into complex, sensitive cryptocurrency cases.
• Report Writing: Prepare in-depth summaries based on research and analysis, recommending strategies and identifying potential risks.
• Quality Assurance: Review the adequacy of investigations and data collection methods, ensuring authenticity and thoroughness.
• Training and Certification: Complete Chainalysis cryptocurrency and investigation certifications and become proficient in navigating blockchain analytic tools.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• Extensive experience in cryptocurrency investigations.
• Strong curiosity about cryptocurrencies and the growing market.
• Report writing proficiency in both English and French, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise reports.
• In-depth understanding of the cyber threat landscape (including ransomware, AML, fraud techniques).
• Ability to gather and analyze data from a variety of sources to create comprehensive intelligence reports.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.
• Experience in training customers on products and best practices.

Nice-to-Have:

• A third language in addition to English and French (e.g., Italian, Hebrew).
• Proven investigative or analytical experience within law enforcement or compliance government agencies.
• Familiarity with Chainalysis products and certifications.
• Skills in programming or data science (Python, Spark, C++).
