About the Role:

Coinbase is seeking a Lead TMS Compliance Analyst to manage Transaction Monitoring System (TMS) operations, focusing on AML and fraud-related investigations. This position offers a 50/50 split between casework and subject matter expert responsibilities, supporting U.S. Escalations and Compliance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate blockchain-based AML/fraud alerts and write SARs
• Conduct due diligence using KYC data and transaction analysis
• Serve as a TMS Subject Matter Expert, guiding teammates on procedures
• Collaborate with Compliance, QA, and CX teams to improve workflows
• Execute root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
• Manage team communications and support queue oversight
• Remain current on BSA, OFAC, FinCEN guidance, and crypto compliance standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ in AML/fraud investigations
• Knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, and FinCEN regulations
• Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills
• Project management or leadership experience preferred

Nice to Have:

• CAMS or crypto AML certifications
• Proficiency in Google Suite and tools like Chainalysis
