Role Overview

This role is part of the Consumer Business Development team, focused on managing and scaling Coinbase’s strategic card issuing partnerships globally. You’ll work cross-functionally to manage end-to-end partner relationships, optimize performance, and expand card-related offerings. This is a high-impact, high-ownership position within the payments vertical, ideal for someone with deep experience in credit and debit card partnerships and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary relationship manager for Coinbase’s strategic debit and credit card partners.
• Drive the execution of card partnership programs, including product launches, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
• Align with product and marketing teams to set shared KPIs, promotional strategies, and integration timelines.
• Collaborate on user acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies using card program insights.
• Proactively address operational risks and partner challenges.
• Evaluate new card-issuing opportunities to support Coinbase’s global business objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5–7 years of experience in partner management within card issuing, payments, or financial services.
• Demonstrated success managing complex partnerships across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with the payments ecosystem — including card networks, processors, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with international card programs and cross-border payments.
• Exposure to fintech or crypto environments.
• Knowledge of financial services regulations relevant to card issuing.
