Overview:

Lead and mentor a team of product designers focused on creating simple, secure, and user-friendly cryptocurrency products. Drive design strategy, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver excellent user experiences that support Coinbase’s mission to increase economic freedom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow a team of 3+ product designers.
• Lead design efforts across critical customer journeys and product areas.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other teams to shape product vision and strategy.
• Mentor designers and foster a collaborative, low-ego culture.
• Establish and maintain design processes and documentation.
• Drive user research initiatives to inform design decisions.

Requirements:

• 2+ years managing design teams with 3+ designers.
• Strong skills in UX, visual design, and communication.
• Experience designing scalable systems and consumer-facing web and mobile products.
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for simplifying complexity and designing for diverse users.

Nice to Have:

• Experience designing onboarding, profile, and account management features.
• Experience designing for international users.

Salary Range: $207,485 - $244,100 + bonus & benefits
