Salary Range: $166,345 – $195,700 USD/year + bonus + equity + benefits

About the Role:

Coinbase is seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting Policy to support the company’s financial reporting and product expansion in the evolving world of crypto. Reporting to the Head of Technical Accounting, this role will help maintain and evolve Coinbase’s accounting policies, resolve complex technical accounting matters, and ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update Coinbase’s accounting policies and disclosures
• Analyze and implement new accounting standards
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Legal, Tax, FP&A) on new transactions and crypto products
• Draft technical memos, footnotes, MD&A, and other public filings
• Respond to internal and external technical accounting inquiries
• Support SOX compliance through internal controls
• Engage with auditors to close accounting issues in a timely manner
• Support ad-hoc technical accounting initiatives and special projects

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial instruments
• Strong technical accounting and memo-writing skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with digital assets, IFRS, FRS 102, NetSuite
• Personal or professional interest in crypto/blockchain
