Job Overview

Binance is seeking an Onchain Transaction Monitoring Team Lead for the Americas region. This role involves managing a team of Transaction Monitoring Analysts and overseeing the operations of the team, including mitigating financial crime risks. You will also be responsible for improving operational processes, contributing to policy creation, training, and preparing reports to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead a team of Transaction Monitoring Analysts, ensuring the team operates efficiently, meeting SLAs, and mitigating financial crime risks.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to operational processes and systems related to offchain monitoring workflows and vendors.
• Policy Creation: Contribute to the development of Transaction Monitoring policies and procedures.
• Training & Development: Continuously develop and coach the team to improve the quality of work and customer experience. Conduct quality sampling, education, and awareness.
• Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly MI (Management Information) and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports for senior management, highlighting trends and actions required.
• Resource Planning: Evaluate the operational impact of new controls and new clients, managing resource planning for the team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team leads to ensure alignment and best practices across the organization.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a champion SME (Subject Matter Expert) for transaction monitoring, embedding Binance’s culture and values.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring, preferably in the banking or fintech sectors. Experience in a crypto exchange is a strong advantage.
• Language: Proficiency in Spanish would be an advantage.
• Global Hours: Willingness to work global hours and manage shift planning for teammates.
• Leadership: Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage large, global teams.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve issues related to people, processes, and systems.
• Self-Starter: Motivated and proactive with a focus on driving continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in stakeholder management with the ability to influence others.
• Location: Based in Latin America.
