Role Overview:

As a Payroll Manager/Senior Specialist, you will ensure accurate and compliant payroll delivery across multiple regions. You’ll work closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders including HR, finance, and business leaders. This role balances operational execution with strategic planning and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage payroll processes (e.g., overtime, leave, approvals, payments).
• Research best practices and build optimized payroll operations aligned with business needs.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll execution, including off-cycle runs and compliance checks.
• Build frameworks for employee payroll support and service delivery.
• Manage payroll vendors, including performance monitoring and onboarding/offboarding.
• Lead annual payroll events such as audits, calendar planning, bonuses, and merit increases.
• Support payroll setup in new countries and harmonize global payroll operations.
• Recommend system, software, and procedural improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 6–10 years of payroll experience, especially within major European countries (UK, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, etc.).
• Deep understanding of payroll operations, taxes, internal controls, and compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Leadership experience with vendor management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll systems/software.
