Role: Data Engineer - Risk

As a Data Engineer within the Risk team, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to manage and process large-scale data, focusing on the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of robust data pipelines, data governance, scalable data architectures, and efficient systems.

Responsibilities

1. Collaboration with Risk Team:
2. Work closely with the business risk team to develop data systems that support risk management.
3. Data Mart Design & Maintenance:
4. Design and maintain the risk data mart, ensuring that the thematic data is reusable across different risk domains.
5. Data Asset Governance:
6. Oversee data assets, such as tables, metrics, labels, and dashboards. Implement and design governance standards and operational processes to ensure data quality and compliance.
7. Develop Data Products:
8. Work on driving the productization of risk data management, its construction, and its application.

Requirements

1. Educational Background:
2. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
3. Technical Experience:
4. 2-5 years of hands-on experience with big data technologies, including:
5. Hadoop, Spark, Presto, and Hive
6. Spark task optimization
7. Backend Development experience with languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
8. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and server-side technologies.
9. Experience in SQL and NoSQL database management and design.
10. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
11. Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
12. Skills:
13. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
14. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
15. Project management experience and ability to work cross-functionally with teams.
16. Language Requirements:
17. Fluency in English (required for coordination with global teams and stakeholders).
18. Additional languages would be an advantage, especially for regional communication.
19. Domain Knowledge:
20. Familiarity with risk-related business domains.
