Role Overview: Data Engineer – Risk

As part of the Risk team, you'll develop scalable, intelligent, and governed data systems to manage high-volume, complex data flows. This includes building out data warehouses, maintaining data governance, and creating reusable data marts to support various risk domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with risk/business teams to build and maintain data systems.
• Design, develop, and optimize the risk data mart.
• Govern data assets including metrics, dashboards, tasks, and labels.
• Define and enforce data governance standards, SOPs, and best practices.
• Create and productize risk data solutions for broader usage across domains.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 2–5 years experience in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Presto).
• Experience with Spark optimization and backend development (Java, Python, or Node.js).
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, metrics, data governance, and data quality management.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English (multilingual is a bonus).
• Bonus: Familiarity with risk or compliance-related business domains.
