Key Responsibilities

Policy Development & Implementation:

• Identify, research, and write platform integrity policies in collaboration with Product, Legal, Trust & Safety, and Product Policy teams.
• Develop enforcement guidance and training for Trust & Safety, Customer Support, and Developer Support teams.
• Manage and resolve policy escalations from cross-functional teams, including Product, Legal, and Communications.
• Set the long-term vision and strategy for resolving platform integrity issues, particularly within Discord’s developer ecosystem.
• Drive complex policy projects, including those related to apps, games, and emerging product launches.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work with enforcement teams to operationalize new policies through tooling changes and workflow enhancements.
• Coordinate responses to complex content decisions balancing multiple perspectives and risk factors.
• Write user-facing content explaining platform integrity policies through blog posts, Help Center articles, and other resources.
• Advocate for Discord’s values and policy principles within internal stakeholder teams.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working on platform integrity issues in gaming or tech, including:
• Spam, scams, fraud, and other platform abuse
• Malware and malicious conduct
• Inauthentic behaviors and engagement
• Platform ban evasion
• Developer policies and API integrations
• Familiarity with scaled abuse patterns and adversarial tactics.
• Experience in content policy writing, social science research, or data-driven decision-making.
• Strong project and program management skills.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Open-minded, collaborative, and flexible approach to policy development.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Discord, its developer ecosystem, and API integrations.
• Experience working with or writing policies for teen creators and developers.
• Multilingual proficiency.
