This isn’t your typical policy-only privacy gig — it’s more cross-functional + risk assessment + privacy ops at scale. Coinbase is looking for someone early-career (1+ year exp) but sharp, to work on privacy assessments, risk mapping, and integrating privacy into product lifecycles. You’ll sit at the intersection of Legal, Product, Engineering, and crypto innovation.

🔍 What You’ll Be Doing

• 🛡️ Run privacy assessments on new product/features
• 🧩 Map regulations to Coinbase’s privacy control framework (think CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
• 🚨 Manage escalations and privacy risk remediation with different teams
• 🗂️ Track and manage privacy issues from build to ship
• 🤝 Embed privacy in product roadmap discussions (proactive > reactive)
• 🛠️ Optimize internal privacy processes & bring creativity to "privacy by design"

✅ What They’re Looking For

• 🎓 1+ year in tech risk, privacy, or security
• 🧠 Can interpret and translate legal/privacy guidelines into product-level functionality
• 📄 Experienced with control frameworks (privacy/security) and validating remediations
• 🧬 Understand data flows, product specs, and can work across teams
• 📚 Familiar with key privacy regs: GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA
• 🌀 Able to handle multiple assessments without dropping the strategic ball
• 💬 Strong communicator with organization + project mgmt skills
